Son of a Dutch Immigrant to
Australia, grew up in outback and rural Western Australia, before
attending high school and university in Perth.
Graduated from Curtin
University of Technology with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology),
a Graduate Business Qualification (GBQ) and a Master’s Degree in
Leadership and Management, (MLM).
First professional assignments
were as mineral exploration geologist after graduation, before moving
into the Oil Industry remaining there until the present becoming a
leading expert in wellbore based dipmeter and image analysis.
Work assignments include:
Mudlogging, GEMDAS Engineering,
New Ventures, Clay Mineralogist, Wireline Log Analyst, Technology
Advisor and Team Leader for major service and oil companies including,
Exploration Logging, Hudbay Oil, Schlumberger and Mobil Oil, in various
Australian and international locations. Currently heads up a specialist
service company providing world class Borehole Image based Geological
Analyses.
